Our Story

Florisbad holiday resort was opened by Craig and Lorraine Rawson, who have a passion for the relaxing effects of nature and outdoor life. They wish all visitors and guests to experience rest, relaxation and recuperation in mind and body.

The Dream

They had a vision of creating a place where individuals, groups, and families could enjoy the beauty of outdoor life in a controlled and safe environment. And at the same time, providing all the comforts that the guests are used to. Florisbad caters for family reunions, weddings, team building events, and much more, check out our facilities menu.

The History

This Free state outdoor destination has a deep historical meaning as well.
In the 1900's, this place was a well known and visited place, called Florisbad Warm & Mineral Baths, and it was one of the main attractions in the area. The holiday makers used to come in Ox wagons, slept in tents, and enjoyed the natural warm and mineral waters.

Restored

Florisbad Resort was a major project that focused on restoring the ancient ruins, as well as preserving the natural resources. All the old buildings were restored and have modern furnishing, with a 1930's style.
